From Line Cook to Founder — The Moment Everything Changed [#001]
TKT Journal #001
I spent 10+ years cooking for other people. Different Gastro pubs, pizza joints, Mexican restaurants, cafés — long shifts, late nights, no purpose. I was always tired. Always worn down. Always chasing someone else’s dream.
I loved food and I loved drinking — but I wasn’t fueling myself.
I was overweight almost 280 lbs+. Low energy. No direction.
I felt like I was fading.
Then one day I realized something painful:
I wasn’t tired of cooking — I was tired of who I was becoming.
What if the only thing holding me back was who I was surrounding myself with?
Restaurant culture was all I knew —
late nights, drinks after shift, smoke breaks, no sleep, no purpose.
Everyone numbing themselves.
I was becoming that too.
So I made a different choice.
If I could cook for entire restaurants… I could cook for people who actually cared about their bodies.
If I could fuel customers… I could fuel athletes, lifters, and busy people trying to get better.
If food could change how someone else feels — it could change how I feel too.
So I started small.
Meal prepping for myself. Training again. Trying to rebuild discipline. Trying to rebuild me. Then meal prepping for a couple of friends. Then for people who wanted to train harder, eat cleaner, and live with intention.
And that’s how Kaizen Fuel Kitchen began —
not as a business, but as a way out. A way to become someone I respected.
And that’s where Kaizen comes in.
Kaizen = Continuous Improvement.
Brick by brick. Day by day.
Not overnight. Not all at once.
Just better.
A tribe.
A community of people trying to become the strongest versions of themselves — physically, mentally, spiritually.
Not perfect.
Just progressing.
This isn’t just meal prep.
It’s fuel for your potential.
It’s a reminder that you can become who you’re trying to become — with one meal, one workout, and one day at a time.
If you’re reading this — thank you for being here.
We’re just getting started.
